International Spectrum Cosmetics Company (ISC) is a vegan/cruelty-free line that was created to meet the needs of those with hard-to-match complexions and also for those needing customized color consultations for their unique skin tones.

International Spectrum Cosmetics’ main focus is on pairing individual skin tones with their exact equivalent in a variety of foundations & formulations and identifying skin undertones as being crucial to this equation. Our mission is to address the needs of value-conscious shoppers with not a lot of time at their disposal to search around their respective cities and towns looking for colors suited for ethnic skin tones. Our customers have felt that big companies have limited focus when it comes to shades beyond yellow & pink undertones. Retailers typically have a standard set of foundation shades that every other line offers in a "One size fits all" category. Our customers are tired of spending their precious time looking in Drug Stores & Big box stores for a makeup company that does not exist on their shelves. Our clients have unique undertones and complexions. ISC is focused on richly pigmented skin & all the beautiful colors we offer that complement those skin tones. If you desire to look their best each and every day or on special occasions you have come to the right place.

Our other objective is to offer a line of complementary lipsticks, blushers, and eye shadows that enhance individual undertones. Matching skin undertones (the color just beneath the skin's surface) is essential to having that customized look. ISC has moderately priced cosmetics and the quality is comparable to much higher priced Prestige brands.

Our other pride and joy is our monthly membership club which offers different Makeup Kits every month of the year based on the client's requested schedule & preferences. How I started my business...

It's always been a challenge for me to find makeup in a shade to match my individual skin tone and undertone. I found foundation colors to be either too beige, too dark, or too yellow and not suited for my complexion at all, so I realized that there were must be others going into the typical retail store or online and facing the same problem. My experience was also particularly difficult when I was shopping in a store that was not classified as in an "ethnic" location. I officially started my business in 2012 about a year after being laid off as an Alternative Transportation Consultant. The silver lining to this layoff gave me the opportunity to start over from scratch and set my career path in another direction. Several months later after losing my job, I found out about a microfinance Bootcamp program. This Non-profit agency started a program for people wanting to start their own businesses. I was accepted into the program which lasted for a number of months. I graduated and immediately started the process of putting my business together.

What I want people to know about me right now...

International Spectrum Cosmetics is a solely owned female and minority-owned company. One of the most exciting things we are doing right now is developing customized kits for “Women in Charge” so that they can look their professional best when making presentations and doing Zoom calls.
